Monthly Meetings
8 January 2026
Demonstration: Laura Christie - Principal of MK Dance Centre
Laura will lead us in a fun session of Country Dancing, just like the dances we did at school. Join in the fun!
12 February 2026
Speaker: Georgian Dancers of Amazing Grace
Volunteers from the Cowper & Newton Museum in Olney, dressed in full costume, will perform 18th century dances and talk about dance etiquette.
12 March 2026
Speaker: Ian Scott-Hunter - Royal Footman
A talk on what being a Royal Footman entails, their day-to-day duties, their uniforms, about the Palaces and Castles, with a few humorous anecdotes.
9 April 2026
Speaker: Tim, Wine Merchant - The Pour House in Stony Stratford
A talk on the production of wine and its variations, and some wine tasting with cheese & crackers provided. The tasting wines will be on sale for members.

Hilarious anecdotes and stories from an ex-cabin crew member.

Speaker: Fiona Balding – Ecoprinting, Exploring the Magic and Alchemy
Fiona will demonstrate the process of Ecoprinting, which illustrates the amazing prints that can be achieved using natural dyes and colours.

Speaker: Sarah Mist - Urban Bee-lievers
A talk about the Urb Farm and Urban Bee-lievers, and the work they do for the local community, with a pop up shop selling honey, candles and other bits.
8 October 2026
Speaker: Mike Payne - Downton Abbey
This talk examines the locations, the cast and series connection with our local counties Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

To elect a committee for 2027.
10 December 2026 Christmas Meeting: (Members only)
Richard Stark, singer/entertainer, will be performing songs from the West End, including Les Misérables, Jersey Boys and Hamilton.
